This is NOT a Fakemon, it's an unreleased Gen II Pokemon [link]

I will be doing some clear art like this ones



"Laketoise" seemed like a good name for this unnamed turtle, but if you have a better name, suggest it to me and I will change it.

All the speculations around this Pokemon, said that it was probably an early version of Torkoal or Turtwig, and I always invisioned it as a never released Pokemon, not related to anything, until I saw Purotoga, one of the 2 new Gen V fossils: [link] and I really think we finally got our beta turtle, however, nothing else points this out, it's just my theory.

I came up with his shiny coloration too.

Maybe, the only different concept I see is that this is a land turtle and Tirtouga is a sea turtle, maybe the evolution could've been way too different.

It's just that for the others, we actually know which Pokemon they turned out to be... As for this... we don't even have a clue :(

All I know is that it was pure awesomeness... And great job in giving this guy a spotlight ^^ It was always one of my favourites, even though it never got the previlege of actually turning into a "real" Pokemon. :D
